Will Ukrainian students posing with Neo-Nazi UPA flag in Poland lose their “Polish Card”?

As you know, Ukrainian students at the State Eastern European College in Przemysl photographed themselves with a Ukrainian Insurgent Army flag. As it turns out, something similar happened in Rzeszow. The New Right Party of Janusz Korwin-Mikke  is demanding they be deprived of their “Polish Cards”.

At the Przemysl photo there are 9 Ukrainians, including 6 students from the Eastern European College. The photos provoked a wave of criticism against both the flag and the persons who photographed themselves with it. The students are facing expulsion from the university. They wrote a statement in which they apologize to the Polish nation and emphasize they are not Bandera supporters, asking they be not deprived of their “Polish Cards” which allow them to study at Polish universities.

However, the New Right Party is demanding that they lose that privilege. Letters to that effect were sent to the local governor and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Grzegorz Schetyna.

As we noted on our facebook account, the photograph from Przemysl was not the only such incident. A similar one took place in Rzeszow.

This incident underscores the unviability of the Maidan project. The neo-fascist leanings of the current Kiev government can be kept hidden from the Polish public only for so long. Once the Polish society realizes the events in Kiev do not represent a “triumph of democracy” but rather something very dangerous to European stability and security, Polish-Ukrainian relations will likely turn for the worse. It also shows the cynicism of the current foreign policy pursued by Poland. Evidently the “red-and-black” (blood and soil) flags are perfectly acceptable when they are flown in Ukraine, including by military formations “pacifying” the Donbass. So surely Poland should have no objections to them being flown on Polish soil?

U.S. House of Representatives votes 98% to donate U.S. weapons to Ukraine. U.S. public is 67% against. Is this democracy?

In a remarkable disjunction between voters and their elected (supposed) representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives, the members of the House voted on December 4th, by  411 “Yea” to 10 “Nay,” to donate U.S. weapons to the bankrupt Ukrainian Government, which is engaged in trying to eliminate the civilian population of the portion of Ukraine that had voted 90% for the former Ukrainian President whom the U.S. Government (CIA, State Department, USAID, etc.) had overthrown in a violent coup in February of this year. (Click onto that link for full documentation.)

This 411 to 10 vote margin is 98%, and it contrasts starkly against the 62% of Americans who, in the most recent poll, opposed sending U.S. arms to the Ukrainian Government; 30% favored sending those weapons. (8% had no opinion.) (The above link includes also that poll-result.) So, 67% of those who had an opinion (62% divided by 92% is 67%) shared the view of the 10 members (2%) of the U.S. House who voted against this measure. Only 33% of the surveyed Americans who had an opinion on it shared the view of the 411 House members (98%) who voted in favor of this measure.

This is a war-and-peace issue, so the U.S. Constitution assigns it to the Congress; the President is assigned the executive function of carrying out the will of Congress, as the Commander-in-Chief and U.S. Chief Executive Officer.

However, the situation here is actually even a bit more extreme than that, because the way that the Pew poll of the U.S. public was phrased, it had the U.S. “sending arms and military supplies to the Ukrainian government,” and not “donating arms and military supplies to the Ukrainian government.” The Ukrainian Government cannot possibly actually pay back all of the financial obligations that it already has, much less pay those plus interest, and buy more weapons. As was documented in the first of the links within the linked report above, “The only reason that things haven’t totally imploded [for the Ukrainian Government] is because of the $18 billion package of assistance from the IMF and the $9 billion in additional assistance pledged by the United States and the European Union.” All of the weapons that the U.S. will be technically ‘selling’ to Ukraine will now go to the back of the line of creditors for Ukrainian debt — never be paid. U.S. arms-makers will receive payment for those arms from U.S. taxpayers (the sale won’t be merely technical for them, nor for the lobbyists they pay), it won’t be paid actually by the Ukrainian Government. Consequently, the U.S. taxpayer is totally funding Ukraine’s bombing campaign going forward, to eliminate the residents in the area which overwhelmingly supported the previous Ukrainian President.

In fact, on September 18th, when the U.S.-installed new Ukrainian President was greeted with standing ovations by a special Joint Session of the U.S. Congress, he addressed them and the weapons-lobbyists to cheers as if he were a hero; he said that this was “the forefront of the global fight for democracy,” and said “I urge America to help us, I urge America to lead the way.” He was doing a sell-job for them and their financial backers. Of course, those financial backers also fund the sale of these politicians to the public.

His use of the term “democracy” there was interesting. A secretly recorded phone conversation on 25 February 2014, right after the coup, was subsequently uploaded to the Internet, and the discussants were Catherine Ashton, the EU’s Foreign Affairs Minister, and her appointed investigator into how Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovych came to be ousted on February 22nd, Urmas Paet. In it, was revealed that the snipers who precipitated the coup had been hired by “somebody from the new coalition” (perhaps the U.S. CIA) that replaced Yanukovych, and that, “it’s really disturbing that now the new coalition, … they don’t want to investigate [since they were its beneficiaries].” Paet told Ashton that, “what was quite disturbing, the same oligarch [Poroshenko — and so when he became ‘democratically elected’ as President of all of Ukraine on May 25th, he already knew this] told [Paet] that well, all the evidence shows that the people who were killed by snipers, from both sides, among policemen and people from the streets, [this will shock Ashton, who had just said that Yanukovych had masterminded the killings] that they were the same snipers, killing people from both sides.” So, Poroshenko himself knows that his regime is based on a false-flag (meaning set up so as to falsely blame the other side) U.S.-controlled coup d’etat against his predecessor. So, there can be no reasonable doubt that, despite his rhetoric when speaking before the Special Joint Session of the U.S. Congress on September 18th, Poroshenko actually knew, by no later than February 25th, that the regime that replaced Yanukovych was being appointed by the United States Government, hardly a ‘democratic Maidan’ event (though it is sold as if it were). This is a heady and frightening array of talent to seduce young people to join U.S. funded, neo-Nazi, ultra-right movements. It is also very educational to understand the influential and connected positions these people occupy in the entertainment and news media world in the United States.

…Ukraine needs this attention right now as it enters its second year of the crisis and faces a frozen conflict with Russia.

Volydymyr Parasiuk is no peace-loving freedom fighter. He is a 26-year-old armed fascist thug, who has commanded a battalion of Ukrainian “volunteers” to slaughter their own country folk. Parasiuk admits he was a member of the Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists, a group of Neo-Nazis who trained him in their paramilitary camp.  The Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists is known for its Nazism and its stated desire to carry out genocide. Its leader proclaimed in 2007: “Our time has come, and the Dnieper will soon be red with the blood of kikes (slur for Jews) and moskals (slur for Russians).”

Parasiuk openly brags about his close coordination with the Right Sector, another neo-Nazi organization, as well as his use of outright violence and terrorism to further his extreme aims.

On the floor of the Ukrainian parliament, he has given speeches denouncing any plan for peace with the people of East Ukraine. He wants all negotiations to be suspended. He wants martial law.  He dismissed all who do not accept the government imposed on them by the EU and US as “homeless, alcoholics, drug addicts” as well as “grannies who see Stalin waving at them from the world beyond.”

A Nazi Conference in New York City

Parasiuk’s career as a promoter and perpetrator of fascism and violence is not limited to Ukraine. It has been announced that on Nov. 15th, he is coming to New York City for a “Global Maidan” Conference.

At the conference to take place on the lower east side of Manhattan, US supporters of Ukrainian fascism will join with terrorists seeking to overthrow the governments of Venezuela, Iran, Syria, and other countries. Together, with funding from Pentagon-linked NGOs, they will attempt to coordinate their activities and recruit young New Yorkers to their project.

The Global Maidan conference, where Parasiuk will be given a platform and treated as a hero, will also feature “Daily Show” segment producer Sara Taksler, as well as “Colbert Report” writer Meredith Scardino.

A few years back, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert held a “Rally To Restore Sanity” in Washington, DC. At the rally they bemoaned, with sarcasm and humor, the “shrillness” of political discourse. Is fascist monster Parasiuk a representative of the kind of “moderation” they and their production teams support?

Wall Street Fights Russia With Fascism

Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovich, who was democratically elected, was not willing to bring his country under the complete dominion of NATO and the European Union. He was not willing to cripple the country with IMF debt. He was more interested in developing a financial relationship with Russia than with the United States.

To overthrow the elected government in Ukraine, the US government poured billions of dollars into the creation of a violent, fascist movement.  After riots that would make even the most violent explosions in the US during the 1960s look like a playground scuffle in comparison, the elected government was removed. A rightwing-led movement — filled with self-proclaimed “ultra-nationalists” who consider Hitler to be a “liberator” and “hero” — seized control of the government.

The people of East Ukraine are fighting in the hopes of keeping their language and culture legal, and not being subjected to genocide (“the Dnieper will soon be red with the blood of kikes (slur for Jews) and moskals (slur for Russians)”).

In an attempt to keep Russia out of the rising global markets, the US has aligned itself with fascists. Ukraine was a peaceful country, but is now the site of massive civil war with political repression and ethnic violence now a common occurrence.

Will This Be Tolerated?

Six months ago, 43 people were burned alive by Parasiuk’s ilk in the Odessa House of Trade Unions, some of them finished off with baseball bats after jumping from the burning building. For the sake of their memory and their families, city officials, community members and people of basic human decency should make all efforts to prevent this terrorist conference from taking place.

US Federal Law forbids “conspiracy to commit terrorism,” something that accurately describes exactly what this conference would entail. If the NYPD were interested in “serving and protecting” the innocent, they would shut down this gathering of Ukrainian mass murderers instead of investigating people peacefully praying at mosques.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, who purport to be “liberals” and advocates of “sanity” in political discourse, should end their association with this kind of ugly extremist terrorism. Scardino and Taksler should apologize for promoting Nazism, or be removed in order to maintain the integrity of the TV program.

Hundreds of New Yorkers died fighting Nazis in the Second World War. Why should this city host these modern-day fascist monsters decades later — just because they are helping Wall Street make a buck and compete with Russia?
