Report # 138. Chain of Ukrainian provocations vs ZNPP continues.
Who will stop such nuclear terrorism if the UN SC is unable?
September, 5 , 2022
1. Kiev continues nuclear terrorism. It has a specific blackmail scheme
Despite the presence of IAEA representatives at Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Kiev regime continues provocations aimed at posing a threat to create a technological disaster at ZNPP.
While Kiev regime and its western sponsors were preparing an operation aimed at capturing Zaporozhye nuclear power plant on September 1, the international community had to be informed about the establishment of Kiev’s control over the plant by specially selected and prepared ‘mass media representatives’ from Ukraine, USA and United Kingdom in presence of the mission from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
With this purpose, as it was confirmed on September 2 in the public statement by Zelensky, Kiev regime added extra motor cars with Ukrainian and Western journalists on board to the convoy of IAEA without prior arrangement with anybody. The attempt to carry out this provocation was made by Kiev in disregard of mission’s working scenario documentally predetermined by IAEA Secretariat and UN Department for Safety and Security.
According to thoroughly studied and agreed documents, the access to the territory of ZNPP was to be provided only pursuant to the lists previously presented by Russian MoD to UN Department for Safety and Security. There are no representatives of Ukrainian or other mass media tasked to accompany IAEA’s convoy on September 1 from Kiev-controlled territory to ZNPP in the agreed lists. Zelensky blocked any participation of Ukrainian journalists in the reporting to the IAEA visit to ZNPP.
Despite that order, some persons disguised as “newsmen” wanted to visit ZNPP with specific aims. Considering this fact, in order to implement the security arrangements for IAEA mission’s work, all unauthorised “journalists” were stopped and did not get access to cross the delimitation line together with IAEA’s convoy.
At the same time, on request of IAEA Secretariat, Russian side has provided the arrival of over 60 representatives of mass media, including from France, the USA, the PRC, Denmark, Japan, Germany, Turkey, Qatar, UAE, RoK, Vietnam and other countries to cover the mission’s work
It has been established that the group of faked “newsmen” without IDs or with faked IDs was tasked to immediately report to the world that ZNPP has been captured by AFU in the presence of the IAEA and declared as “a DMZ”. After that with a free hand in its activity at this plant Kiev could have implemented any wrong-doing with the facility, even melt down any nuclear reactor or several reactors and blackmail any nation by enhanced radiation. The next step would have been to demand from Russia to sign “a treaty” specifying provisions totally favorable to Kiev.
In the morning on September 1, the group of bona fide journalists that arrived in Energodar city where ZNPP is located witnessed the unsuccessful attempt to assault ZNPP by Ukrainian saboteurs and by heavy artillery shelling launched by AFU at Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and residential areas of Energodar exactly from Nikopol and Marganetz controlled by Zelensky.
After so many attacks made by Ukrainian military only one reactor is operating at the plant – and not at full capacity
“Today, as a result of a fire caused by shelling, the (last working) transmission line was disconnected,” Energoatom, Ukraine’s state nuclear power company, incorrectly announced in a statement on Telegram on September 5, without mentioning who was responsible for such act, but at the same preferred not to point at Moscow only as it usually did.
Comment: It is quite exceptional case for a Ukrainian side that always has been blaming Russia for shelling ZNPP with Ukrainian and American projectiles from “nowhere land”
[see Reuters report: last-reactor-unit-ukraine-nuclear-plant-disconnects-after-shelling-energoatom-2022-09-05/].
According to the IAEA, two members of the International Atomic Energy Agency mission have been left at the plant as observers. The other group of inspectors left ZNPP on September 5 at 9:00 AM. Rafael Grossi, DG of the IAEA, left the area earlier
The reasons why Kiev still shells ZNPP have been disclosed by Petro Kotin, head of the during an interview with Reuters September 5, 2022 that it was vital that a mission by a UN inspectors’ team to the plant should lead to the end of Russia’s “occupation of the facility” and called for new missions to the site, including by UN peacekeepers
The only way to ensure the safety of the ZNPP is the withdrawal of Russian troops from its territory, echoed his words French President Emmanuel Macron who does not understand the real situation in and around the plant, and stubbornly wishing to protect Zelensky’s nuclear terrorism by shelling the facility every day.
But Kotin and Macron should know that as it stands for September 5, under Zelensky’s orders, since July 18 Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked ZNPP:
- 32 times,
- by 124 artillery shells,
- by 26 kamikaze drones with HE,
- and conducted two major sabotage attempts in order to capture the plant.
For this reason Russia has a legitimate right to increase its troops at ZNPP and around it. Otherwise, it would be too late to react.
2. The latest chronology of Kiev’s ZNPP shelling
On September 3, AFU used 8 unmanned aerial vehicles armed with outboard projectiles for launching attacks at the plant. They have been diverted from the plant by ECM and forced to “land” in an unpopulated area where they were destroyed.
On September 4, Ukrainian troops used an attack drone, which was destroyed by Russian ECM, on the territory of the nuclear power plant. It fell one kilometer from the plant’s territory. Nothing was harmed.
On September 5, AFU again attacked ZNPP with three artillery shells and one drone with a bomb on board. The impact was on the special building, the communication ceiling, a water tank near reactor # 2, and the concrete fence of ZNPP.
All these cases can be easily verified by the U.S. and NATO satellites and by other means, e.g. by Western and Ukrainian projectiles’ remnants and fragments collected on spot at ZNPP since July 18 till now.
Totally more than 20,000 residents in Energodar signed a petition demanding from Kiev to stop destruction of ZNPP.
Two latest UN SC meetings devoted to ZNPP took place last August ended in failure: NATO countries and their pals displayed cowardness to identify the nuclear aggressor – that is Ukraine. The next debates will be convened September 6. Who will stop Kiev’s nuclear terror?
3. Ukrainian “counteroffensive”. No positive gains
Kiev regime continues its unsuccessful attempts to consolidate at several areas towards Nikolayev-Krivoy Rog direction. Aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces, missile troops and artillery launch attacks at the units and reserve forces of AFU.
The enemy has lost 11 tanks, 17 infantry combat vehicles, including 4 U.S.-manufactured Bradley vehicles, 10 other ACVs, 5 pick-ups with large-calibre machine guns and over 150 servicemen at the abovementioned direction.
Fighter aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces have shot down Su-25 assault fighter of Ukrainian Air Force near Romanovka (Nikolayev Region).
4. Situation on the other battlefields
“Over the past day, the mission reported 40 facts of firing by the armed formations of Ukraine. In the Donetsk direction, the enemy used MLRS “Hurricane”, “Grad”, artillery 155, 152 and 122 mm. On Gorlovsky – MLRS “Grad”, artillery 155, 152 and 122 mm, tank and mortars 120 mm fire by releasing 199 units of various ammunition”, the DPR official representative said.
High-precision armament of Russian Aerospace Forces has eliminated provisional bases of the units from 80th Air Assault Brigade and a munitions depot near Kramatorsk (Donetsk People’s Republic). Over 120 Ukrainian servicemen and 11 armoured and special motor vehicles have been eliminated.
Concentrated fire attacks launched at the positions of the units from 30th Mechanised and 95 Air Assault Brigades near Gusarovka (Kharkov Region) and Adamovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) have resulted in the elimination of 110 militants. AFU command is manning the abovementioned formations with mobilised citizens from western and central regions of Ukraine, including women.
High-precision attack of Russian Aerospace Forces launched at 2 bases of foreign mercenaries near Kurakhovo (DPR) resulted in the elimination of 50 foreign militants.
Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery continue launching attacks at the military facilities in Ukraine.
Over the past 24 hours, 4 command posts, including: the headquarters of Kraken nationalist group near Kharkov, 66th Mechanised Brigade near Yelizavetovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), 65th Mechanised Brigade near Nikolskoye (Zaporozhye Region), as well as 57 artillery units, 189 AFU manpower and military equipment concentration areas have been neutralised. Three munitions depots near Seversk (Donetsk People’s Republic), Nikolskoye and Malinovka (Zaporozhye region) have been destroyed. Russian air defence means have shot down 5 unmanned aerial vehicles near Balakleya, Pershotravnevoye (Kharkov region), Zvitne Bazhannya, Ivanovka and Zelyony Gai (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Three U.S.-made HARM anti-radar missiles have been intercepted near Novaya Kakhovka (Kherson Region), as well as 7 MRLS projectiles near Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, including 4 HIMARS and 3 Olkha.
In total, 289 airplanes and 151 helicopters, 1,872 unmanned aerial vehicles, 372 air defence missile systems, 4,804 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 824 combat vehicles equipped with multiple rocket-launching systems, 3,367 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 5,276 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the Special Military Operation.
5. Russian aims have not changed
Addressing the meeting in the Far East on September 5 Russian President Vladimir Putin has laid responsibility for the tragedy in Donbass on the Ukrainian “neo-Nazi regime”, as well as stressing that all of Moscow’s attempts to resolve the issue peacefully have failed. Russia launched the SMO in Ukraine on February 24 following a request from the two Donbass republics to protect them against barbaric attacks of Ukrainian forces. The operation came after Kiev failed to implement the Minsk agreements on Donbass reintegration over the course of eight years.
“This [tragedy] is the result of the actions of the nationalist, neo-Nazi regime, which seized power [in Ukraine] by force in 2014 and then launched hostilities in Donbass. It conducted two major military operations [in Donbass] using artillery, aviation, heavy equipment, and so on. And this is what is still happening there,” Putin said.
The president stated that it was Russia’s obligation to help the people of Donbass, who, he said, were bravely defending their land at times better than professional military. He described Kiev’s actions in Donbass as “genocide”.
Russia is committed to defend civilians in Donbass and in other areas in Ukraine from neo-Nazi invaders who are still conducting the 3rd large-scale aggression since 2014
