Is the IAEA ignoring AFU attacks on Kursk NPP?

Report # 297. Kiev continues its nuclear terrorism in Russia

29 October 2023

On October 28, 2023 Russian MFA issued a comment on the Kiev regime’s terrorist attack on the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant or KuNPP located in Russia. It has been stated that in the evening of October 26, 2023 the Ukrainian Armed Forces intentionally attacked the KKuNPP with three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) loaded with high explosives (HE).

One of the UAVs crashed into a nuclear waste warehouse and damaged its walls. The other two fell on the plant’s administrative building complex. The UAVs used to attack the nuclear power plant had components supplied by Western countries.

This incident clearly showed that the criminal Kiev regime will stop at nothing, including acts of nuclear terrorism. They could not but realize that the UAV attack could have resulted in a full-scale nuclear disaster that would have affected many countries. There could have been no other objectives set for attacking a nuclear power plant, a purely peaceful infrastructure facility.

By attacking the Kursk NPP, the Kiev regime put itself on a par with the most odious terrorist organizations. The fact that this crime could not have been committed without the permission and, possibly, a direct order of its Western curators is of particular concern.

Russian Foreign Ministry called on all Governments to strongly condemn Kiev’s barbaric actions, which are extremely dangerous and can lead to irreparable consequences. The ministry expressed hope that relevant international organizations, environmental NGOs and civil society could also give an appropriate assessment of this act of nuclear terrorism.

It was not the first case when AFU tried to destroy some Russian NPP by UAV attacks and other arms. There have dozens of such incidents arranged by Kiev military junta against Zaporozhye NPP not controlled by AFU for more than a year. It used artillery shells and MRLS with the aim to destroy it. Three times AFU sent their commandos’ teams across the adjacent Kakhovka Rezervoir to capture ZNPP. All attempts have been disrupted.

Unfortunately, in all such cases the IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi responded in the way like three monkeys sitting in an ancient statuette: “I do not see anything, I do not hear anything and I do not tell anybody”.

In his written statement # 191 issued after the attack on October 27th, 2023 only a simple information appeared:

“… the IAEA is aware of Russian reports of three drones identified in an area near the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (KuNPP) in the south of the Russian Federation, one of which exploded causing minor damage to the façade of the building where spent nuclear fuel is stored. It is reported there were no casualties and the radiation levels at the site of the KuNPP do not exceed the established norms”.

And a minor revelation:

“This week’s events show that nuclear safety and security remains potentially precarious, not only at the Zaporizhzhya [Ukrainian spelling] Nuclear Power Plant. The IAEA will remain present at Ukraine’s nuclear facilities to monitor and inform the world about developments. We will continue to do everything in our power to help prevent a nuclear accident during the military conflict”.

That is all. It means: The IAEA does not care if the KuNPP is attacked by AFU.

Because it is located not in Ukraine.

Ukraine resumes shelling Zaporozhye nuclear plant after IAEA visit; Russia stops AFU sabotage attempt

Report # 137. Kiev resumed ZNPP shelling after the IAEA team visit

September, 4, 2022

1. AFU again attacked ZNPP and Energodar city

Local authorities in Zaporozhye reported renewed shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP (ZNPP) by Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) after the IAEA head Rafael Grossi’s visit there was over. Ukrainian artillery targeted ZNPP and the city of Energodar once again, local military-civilian Administration member Vladimir Rogov said on September 2 night.

Four rounds impacted the area of plant, Rogov announced in midnight on September 2, with at least one heavy projectile exploded between reactors # 2 and # 3, while three struck about 400 meters to the east.

The shelling has cut the main power line along the Dnepr river, so the ZNPP had to divert emergency power for its own operational needs. After the attack all electricity supplies from ZNPP to the rest of Ukraine stopped.

Around 20 Ukrainian shells hit Energodar city where ZNPP is located.

The renewed attack came after the departure of the main International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission, which visited the plant on September 1. However, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi told reporters the same day that six of the agency’s experts stayed behind in Energodar. Four of them will return after the weekend and two will remain “permanently” there at the plant, Grossi clarified after returning to Vienna.

“If something happens or if any limitation comes, they are going to be reporting it to us. It’s no longer a matter of A said this and B said the contrary,” Grossi noted. “For those who may have intentions on the plant, knowing that international inspectors are there, witnessing and informing immediately what is happening, has, I think, an inherent very important stabilizing effect.”

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian General Staff admitted for the first time that it were “troops uncontrolled by Kiev” that have shelled the area of ZNPP.

However, such allegation is false, because “troops uncontrolled by Kiev” do not possess and therefore cannot use against ZNPP and Energodar the U.S.- made M777 howitzers or attack drones fitted with HE.

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu: “There have been 29 Ukrainian attacks against ZNPP since July 18, involving 120 artillery shells and 16 kamikaze drones”.

The USA and NATO/the EU never have criticized Zelensky for such nuclear terrorism

2. AFU sent another sabotage groups to capture ZNPP

On September 2, at about 11.00 PM (Moscow time), two groups of a total of 42 motor boats with over 250 Ukrainian servicemen from Special Operations Forces and foreign mercenaries on board made an attempt to disembark at the shore of Kakhovka Reservoir near Energodar and Dneproprudnoye.

Their main mission was to capture ZNPP where the IAEA left its six inspectors to conduct additional monitoring and report back to its HQ in Vienna.

The other task was to remove Russian National Guard units from the plant, and to use it as a much deadlier nuclear blackmail source

In this case the latest attacking force was four times as larger that AFU group that tried to attack ZNPP September 1 that has been nearly totally destroyed by Russian National Guard units maintaining security at the nuclear power plant.

The Ukrainian manpower sailing on September 2 was attacked by four Su-30 and two Ka-52 helicopters of Russian Aerospace Forces that has resulted in the elimination of 20 boats. The rest of the vessels turned back and headed towards the Ukrainian coast.

Kiev continues shelling of Zaporozyhe nuclear plant — to stop IAEA inspection?

Report # 133. Kiev still shells ZNPP on the eve of the IAEA visit. To cancel it again?

August, 27, 2022

1. Ukraine still adheres to “nuclear terrorism”

The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) has stated that the Kiev regime continued to engage in “nuclear terrorism” by targeting the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), firing long-range artillery projectiles at the territory of the facility located in the heart of Europe.

Unfortunately, such dangerous and barbaric actions are still continued by president Zelensky without any interruption despite the debates devoted to the issue at two emergency meetings at the UN Security Council meetings held on August 11 and 23, 2022 [see previous Reports for additional details].

“Over the last 24 hours, artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have shelled the territory of the ZNPP three times. A total of 17 shells were fired, four of which hit the roof of special building No. 1, where 168 assemblies with American nuclear fuel from the Westinghouse [Electric Corporation] company are stored,” the Russian MoD said.

The Ministry added that “another 10 shells exploded 30 meters away from the dry storage of spent nuclear fuel, and three more projectiles detonated in the area of special building No. 2, which houses the fresh nuclear fuel storage unit of the TVEL nuclear fuel company and the storage of solid radioactive waste.

The Russian MoD also noted that Ukrainian sheeling was arranged again from the city of Marganets, located in Dnepropetrovsk Region, still controlled by the ultra-Nazi regimes entrenched in Kiev.

One U.S. howitzer М777 that fired at ZNPP was destroyed by Russian troops there.

The local authorities reported that in the morning on Saturday August 27 Ukrainian troops had launched 20 artillery strikes on the city of Energodar, including five on the ZNPP’s territory directly.

At the same time monitoring of the technical condition of the ZNPP and ensuring its functioning is carried out by regular technical personnel. The Russian special military formation protects the external perimeter of the nuclear plant. There are no heavy weapons in the area of the NPP”, the Russian MoD said.

2. Does the USA see any profits in arming Ukraine?

On August 7, a documentary film entitled “Arming Ukraine” was presented at the Internet resource of the American TV channel CBS. In a few hours, the picture gained over 250 thousand viewers. Several thousand viewers left their comments. Many were outraged by the information about the disappearance of up to 70 percent of the weapons sent to Kiev, purchased by the current U.S. administration at the expense of taxpayers. The audience reacted with indignation watching the video in which a cache of Western weapons is located in a Ukrainian residential building, which is a violation of the rules of war and explains the facts of attacks on city blocks, which are presented by the Kiev regime as evidence of alleged Moscow’s “cruelty”. Many comments stressed the need to organize reliable control over arms supplies to Ukraine from the Western countries nowadays totaling nearly 50, including 30 members of NATO.

World Health Organization insider talks about the radiation secrets of the WHO; ICRP, IAEA, Chernobyl, Fukushima

Ms Katz’s April 2017 interview, which this article is based upon, can be heard in its entirety.

From CounterPunch

May 2, 2017

By Robert Hunziker

Imagine the following hypothetical: The World Health Organization (“WHO”) is deeply involved in a high level cover up of the human impact and dangers of ionizing radiation, intentionally hiding the facts from the public, a chilling storyline!

After all, the world community depends upon WHO as an independent org t0 forewarn the general public of health dangers and to help in times of crises, not hide pivotal health facts from public eye.

As it happens, that nightmarish hypothetical comes to life in an interview with Alison Katz, who claims: “We are absolutely convinced that if the consequences of nuclear radiation were known to the public, the debate about nuclear power would end tomorrow. In fact, if the public knew, it would probably be excluded immediately as an energy option.”

Alison Katz heads a NGO known as Independent WHO, and she spends a lot of time arranging sandwich boards with messages like: “Complicity in Scientific Crime” or “Crime of Chernobyl – WHO Accomplice” in front of WHO headquarters/Geneva. For 10 years now on a daily vigil from 8:00-to-6:00 she and/or other protestors expose alleged misbehavior committed by WHO, right outside of the headquarters building. Imagine this: Ten years on the same street corner every working day. It’s commitment and determination sans pareil.

“The aim of the silent vigil is to remind the World Health Organisation of its duties. It was Hippocrates who formulated the ethical rules for health practitioners. The World Health Organisation ignores these rules, when it comes to protecting the health of the victims of the consequences of the nuclear industry”.

Which brings forth: Ten years of hard work combating a difficult and challenging issue warrants public adulation beyond carrying posters back and forth, come rain or shine, trudging away in the heat of the sun or the freezing cold and snow in front of WHO Hdqs. Hopefully, this article serves that purpose for Alison Katz.

The mission of Independent WHO is to expose WHO’s failings whilst calling for WHO independence away from influence by the worldwide nuclear syndicate: According to WHO Independence’s Web Site: “The World Health Organization (WHO) is failing in its duty to protect those populations who are victims of radioactive contamination.”

Ms Katz worked inside the WHO for 18 years. She insists that WHO, in cahoots with IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), dangerously misrepresents the inherent dangers of ionizing radiation, an insinuation that smacks in the face with egregiousness galore.

Ms Katz’s April 2017 interview, which this article is based upon, can be heard in its entirety.

This article condenses and summarizes her one-hour interview. As such, according to Ms Katz: “The health consequences of nuclear activity, whether they are civil or military, are not known to the public… There has been a very high level cover up… including the WHO.”
