On the morning of December 14th, Ukrainian soldiers shot at a bus carrying civilians at the Mayorskoe checkpoint near Gorlovka. This has been reported by the Donetsk People’s Republic’s security agencies. As a result of the firing, one civilian was killed and two were injured. Another passenger died at the scene from a heart attack.
“This morning, at the Mayorskoe checkpoint, Ukrainian troops opened fire on a bus with civilians coming from the territory of the DPR,” a source in the agency said.
According to the source, as a result of Kalashnikov rifle fire, one passenger was killed and another was wounded. The incident took place on territory controlled by the Ukrainian military. “The fire came from a Kalashnikov rifle,” the source stated.
The acting head of the Gorlovka administration, Ivan Prikhodko, later reported the death of another passenger from the shot-up bus: “One of the bus’ passengers was shot by Ukrainian troops, another died on the scene from a heart attack. Two other received injuries,” he said.
The operational command has reported that Ukrainian militants opened mortar fire on DPR positions immediately after the bus shooting, provoking retaliatory actions.

“We found them and destroyed them:” DPR special forces assassinate Elenovka war criminals

December 6, 2016 – Fort Russ News –
Maksim Karpenko, PolitNavigator – translated by J. Arnoldski –
Special forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic have successfully liquidated the perpetrators of the Elenovka checkpoint shelling from April 2016, when Ukrainian nighttime shelling killed several people waiting in their cars at the checkpoint to cross the border. This was announced by the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, in an interview for Tsargrad TV.
“You need to make the enemy understand that it won’t do these things with impunity. When the pregnant woman in Elenovka was killed, I swore to myself that I will find and eliminate those who participated in this attack. Let the Ukrainian military see now who has been killed over the last four months in all sorts of unknown cases. We found them and destroyed them,” Zakharchenko stated.
The DPR head also promised that the same fate awaits the organizers and perpetrators of the assassination of Sparta commander Arsen Pavlov, a.k.a. “Motorola”.

“We will do exactly what they did,” Zakharchenko warned.

2400+ violations: full Donetsk front sit-rep

From Fort Russ

December 7, 2016 – Fort Russ News –
RusVesna – translated by J. Arnoldski –
Russian Spring is publishing a complete summary of the military situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic for December 6th-7th. The data was compiled following today’s briefing by the deputy commander of the republic’s operative command, Eduard Basurin.

Ceasefire violations
Over the past day, the number of ceasefire violations by Ukrainian militants has doubled, amounting to 2,453 violations in total
The enemy fired at the territory of the republic 114 times with artillery of 152 and 122 mm, 617 times with mortars of 120 and 82 mm, 8 tank shots, as well as 1240 shots from various types of grenade launchers. In addition, infantry fighting vehicles and small arms were also used.
The Ukrainian terrorists Gruzevich, Shaptal, Nikolyuk, Sokolov, and Delyatisky subjected the following residential areas of the republic to shelling: Vasilevka, Verkhnetoretskoe, Yasinovatya, Zhabichevo, Spartak, Aleksandrovka, Yasnoe, Elenovka, Dokuchaevsk, Kominternovo, Leninskoe, Oktyabr, Sakhanka, and Trudovskie in the Petrovsky district of the city of Donetsk.

Infrastructural damage
As a result of Ukrainian militants’ bombardments, three houses and a gas pipeline were damaged in Dokuchaevsk, and one house was damaged in the residential area of Staromikhailovka.
Also damaged were power lines in Elenovka, where more than 100 homes have been left without light. In Krutaya Balka, the Donetsk Filtration Station, which had only been working for two days before, has been left without electricity.
At the current time, measures are being taken to renew the supply of electricity and gas to the affected residential areas.

Troop movements
The DPR’s intelligence has continued to record the strengthening of UAF positions close to the contact line

In Karlovka (19 km from the contact line), the positions of four 152 mm towed Giatsint-B howitzers have been identified. In Galitsinovka (17 km from the contact line), the location of four 122mm self-propelled Gvozdika artillery systems have been noted. In Krasnogorovka (3 km from the contact line), the location of two 122 mm self-propelled Gvozdika artillery systems has been recorded. Finally, in Konstantinovka (12 km from the contact line), four 122 mm self-propelled Gvozdika artillery systems and two 152 mm towed Giatsint-B howitzers have arrived.
All information on violations of the Minsk Agreements has been sent to representatives of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire of the OSCE mission.

Foreign instructors
In the area of operation of the UAF’s 30th mechanized brigade, the presence of foreign instructors from Slovakia, who are directing tactical training for servicemen, has been noted. Judging by the increasing losses in UAF ranks, the foreign instructors are amateurs and do not receive full salaries.

Failed ‘offensives’
Over the past day alone, Ukrainian militants tried two times to break through our positions on the southern borders of the republic, namely, in the residential area of Vodyanoe, where they were repelled and driven back onto their territory with two killed and four wounded. On our side, one serviceman was wounded.

Conclusion

Thus, we can see that the Ukrainian military command is “with sheep persistence” continuing to send its people to slaughter despite knowing in advance the futility of such actions.

Is Motorola’s assassination the last straw? Zakharchenko press conference (VIDEO)

October 17th, 2016 – Fort Russ News –

Ministry of Information for DNR – Translated by Inessa Sinchougova
…Givi and Motorola have become figureheads of the conflict in the Donbass. While Western mainstream media paints a picture of “Russian Aggression” in the Ukraine, it is the Kiev US-funded Junta that is attacking the Donbass. These men have been defending their land since the start of the conflict. Poroshenko will not hold a referendum in this area because he is fully aware he will lose Novorossia (Donbass), as he did the Crimea.
On 16 October 2016, Motorola was cowardly killed with a remotely-controlled explosive device, placed in the elevator of his own home. The message delivered by the leader of the self-named Donetsk Republic is awfully chilling. It is official that the Minsk Agreement is dead. For those not in the know – the Minsk agreement provided a set of instructions, basically a ceasefire, for both sides…

DPR commander Arsen “Motorola” Pavlov assassinated

From Fort Russ

October 16, 2016 – Fort Russ News –
By J. Arnoldski –

The commander of the Sparta battalion of the Donetsk People’s Republic and famous defender of Donbass known by his callsign “Motorola,” Arsen Pavlov, was killed today, October 16th, by a bomb in his apartment building’s elevator. The incident has been officially confirmed as an assassination carried out by Ukrainian special forces.
Over the course of the war in Donbass, Ukrainian media claimed dozens of times that Motorola had been killed. This time, however, reliable sources have confirmed the news.
The Ministry of Defense of the DPR has officially stated that “According to preliminary information, Motorola was killed as a result of a terrorist operation of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group. Upon returning home, a remote-detonated explosive device was set off in the elevator.”
Interfax was similarly told by an “informed source” that “According to preliminary information, in the elevator of the house in which Arsen Pavlov lived, an improvised explosive device was detonated. The militiaman, as planned, was in the epicenter of the explosion at the moment and was fatally traumatized.”
According to numerous news sources in Russia and Donbass, a state of emergency has been announced in Donetsk and an investigation has been launched. The DPR’s defense ministry has since announced that a tightened “anti-terrorist regime” is in effect.

Motorola, who became an internationally recognized icon of the Donbass people’s defense forces, is famous for having participated in the most intense battles of the war since the beginning of the conflict.
Having been subjected to numerous assassination attempts over the past two years, the last one was on August 25th, but failed.

Motorola’s last known assignment was being sent to the Lugansk People’s Republic to provide security during the suppression of an alleged coup attempt.

Ukraine: NATO military instructors were onboard helicopter shot down attacking Donbass

Global Research, October 17, 2016
South Front 16 October 2016

Military instructors from NATO countries were onboard a combat helicopter, shot down by servicemen of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on October 13, deputy commander of the Operational Command of the republic, Eduard Basurin, said on Friday.

“According to preliminary information, foreign mercenaries – instructors from the NATO, were in the downed helicopter. The area of the incidence [with the helicopter] is cordoned off for several days, cellular communication is disabled,” the RIA Novosti news agency quoted the words of the representative of the DPR Defense Ministry.

According to head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, UAVs attempted to attack the territory of the republic under the cover of the military helicopter, which was put out of action, but managed to land on the territory of Donbass, occupied by the Kiev Forces. DPR soldiers shot the enemy’s helicopter down, while it was attacking their positions. According to the DPR intelligence, the incapacitated helicopter landed near Krasngotovka.

The use of combat aircraft and drones, with the exception of UAVs of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM), is prohibited along the entire contact line by the Minsk Agreements.

The last time, Kiev used aircraft in Donbass on January 18, 2015. On that day, several the Su-25 fighter jets were noticed in the sky near Gorlovka.

Zakharchenko: We have shown the international community our willingness to implement the Minsk Agreements

From Fort Russ

Fort Russ – 19th July, 2016
Today, on July 19th, parliamentary hearings on the topic of “Progress in realization of the Complex of measures on the implementation of the Minsk agreements, approved by Resolution 2202 (2015) on the 7384th UN Security Council meeting” took place in Donetsk. Correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic reported about this.
Head of DPR Alexander Zakharchenko took part in the event. In his speech he emphasized the importance of assistance of the international community in stopping the genocide of the people of Donbass, which was unleashed by the Kiev authorities.
“Today we are summing up the results of the signatures collected on the Petition concerning the nonfulfillment of the UN Resolution by Ukraine; more than 300,000 residents of DPR supported this appeal. We have shown the international community our willingness to implement the Minsk agreements and to end this conflict. Donbas residents said “no” to violence. We did not start the war, did not shell peaceful towns with aviation and artillery, we just wanted to live according to conscience and justice. Unfortunately, the Kiev government for almost 2 years of the Minsk process at all the costs was trying to sabotage the implementation of the complex of measures approved by the UN Security Council. By this petition we are one more time saying that here live not terrorists or separatists, but ordinary people who built their own state. We in any case will end the war and for sure will win because we should fight for the future,” the Head of Republic said.
Let us recall, on February 12, 2015, the complex of measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements was initiated in Minsk, which was signed by the members of the Trilateral Contact Group – former ambassador of the OSCE, Heidi Tagliavini, the second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov, as well as leaders of Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics Alexander Zakharchenko, and Igor Plotnitskiy. And on February 17th, the UN Security Council unanimously passed a resolution to approve the document. However, despite its commitments, Ukraine has continued to systematically bombard peaceful areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
In this regard, on June 1st, 2016, Head of DPR Alexander Zakharchenko announced the beginning of the collection of signatures for the Petition concerning the nonfulfillment of the UN Security Council Resolution by Ukraine. By this petition the people of Donbass initiated an appeal to the international organizations to stop the genocide of the residents of DPR and LPR by the Ukrainian authorities and to stop military operations in the country. At present, the appeal was supported by more than 326,000 citizens; the action of collecting signatures in Donbass is officially completed.

Izmailov: Zakharchenko will beat Poroshenko with words, one “direct line” at a time; Tyutchev on unity

From Fort Russ

June 3, 2016 –
Oleg Izmailov, PolitNavigator –
Translated by J. Arnoldski
It is difficult to imagine a more powerful and effective weapon in the fight against the Kiev Nazis than the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic conversing with Russian people, as planned and realized throughout a huge arc stretching from Kharkov to Odessa.
Talking is necessarily interactive and, as the experience of the “direct lines” with three Novorossiyan regions (Kharkov, Odessa, Kherson) showed, these direct lines have been more open, lively, sincere, and useful than official events organized under the auspices of state and business structures.
The first and second assertions confirm that Zakharchenko and his entourage are right, and they are armed with the truth. Common truth and honesty. After all, people perfectly understand whether and when they talk “for show” and report and where they give the maximum information which citizens are deprived of in the fascist state.
Thus, the leader of Donbass, in his “direct lines,” is faced with so much pressure and, let’s not be afraid of this word, passion from both sides. Alexander Zakharchenko and the countrymen of Novorossiya hold an interesting conversation, sometimes argue, and sometimes ask for something. Most of all they ask to be liberated from the fascist yoke in which the crumbling country of Poroshenko and company is harnessed.
I myself had to answer phone calls from countrymen from my hometown of Krasny Liman concerning the DPR head’s “direct line” with residents of cities which have been snatched away from the republic…
I asked my friends: what would you ask Zakharchenko? Their answers were unpretentious and predictable: “We have only one question for him: ‘When will you return and liberate us from this plague?’ Our children are being actively brainwashed and recruits are being taken into the army fight against their brothers. This can’t last long.’”
Undoubtedly, this upcoming “direct line” on June 2nd will surpass the popularity, attendance, quantity, and quality all the three before. I think that the people of Donetsk on the occupied territories detached from the DPR and LPR by the terrorist group of the Poroshenko regime will get direct and honest answers from Alexander Zakharchenko.
As we can see, the so far small yet similar communications of the head of the DPR with Novorossiyans are making him not only into a regional, but a common national leader – the head of not only smaller Novorossiya, but within the boundaries of the large, geopolitically delineated arch stretching from Kharkov to Odessa.
And you know what, I would not be surprised if people in the Malorossiyan regions of Great Rus – Chernigov, Poltava, Vinitsa, Zhitomyr, and Cherkasy – will also wait for Zakharchenko’s voice tomorrow. Undoubtedly, of course, in ancient Kiev as well, which was appointed by history “to be the mother of all Russian cities.”
The inviolable bookshelves of Russian history, truth, faith, and love stand behind Zakharchenko, behind us, and behind Donbass and the whole Russian world from Brest to Kamchatka and from Kiev to Tashkent and Kushka.
We have always lived and will continue to live according to the words of Fedor Tyutchev:
“’Unity’, announced the oracle of our days,
‘Can be welded out of blood and iron
But we will try to weld it with love
And we will see that is durable…’”
This fragment is from the famous poem “Two Unities” written in September of 1870 just when the Welshman John Hughes landed in Taganrog to build the factory “of Novorossiyan society”, around which Donetsk grew for 150 years, where I am currently writing these lines.
Editor: An English translation of the full poem can be found in The Complete Poems of Tyutchev in an English Translation by F. Jude — Poem 360 “Two Unities”
I would re-write the first paragraph for these days thus:
Blood is pouring over the brim of the cup
Filled to overflowing by the wrath of the West
And the world is drowning in it.
Your blood is being taken, is being spilled, is being thrown away, my friends, my brothers, my sisters!
Slavonic world, pull together, pull close together!
…………
[From Tyutchev translated by Jude]
“Unity”, an oracle of our century has said,
“can only be welded by iron and blood.”
Well, we’ll try welding it with love.
Let’s see which lasts the longer.
