“The enemy will be irreversibly subdued” – Basurin

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing a ‘blitzkrieg’ to seize the territories of the Donbass between March and June – as announced today by the operational command of DPR, Eduard Basurin, referring to intelligence data.
“The plan provides for military units with the support of artillery to overcome the security zone and break through the first defensive line within DPR and LPR, to take control of advantageous positions.” – he noted.
Kiev will inflict the main damage to the north and south of Donetsk.
“Strikes will be coordinated in the direction of Verkhnetortsekoye, Ilovaysk and towards Maximov, Starobeshevo, Ilovaysk. They will try to overcome the line of combat and break through the first defensive position. Then, having increased their power with the introduction of reserves, they will attempt to cut into Donetsk divisions, to encircle and seize Donetsk.” – said Basurin.
The ultimate goal is to reach Novoazovsk and seize the coast of the Azov Sea.
The invasion of the LPR is planned from the direction of Lutugino. According to Basurin, the data from aerial reconnaissance, equipment at the front line, as well as the active replenishment of fuel and ammunition supplies also testifies to Kiev’s plans.
“I note that the blitzkrieg will not bring the expected result to the Ukrainian side, and in case of armed aggression against the People’s Republics, the enemy will be irreversibly subdued.” – Busurin summed it up.

Plotnitsky: Donbass still plans to join Russia

March 18, 2017 – Fort Russ News –

Plotnitsky at the conferencePaths of Donbass’ Integration into Russia”
The head of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Igor Plotnitsky, has spoken out in favor of holding a referendum in the DPR and LPR on joining Russia.
“We do not merely assume, but we are confident that there will necessarily be such a referendum. Of course, we want to initiate it, but there is a time for everything. In fact, in the very beginning there was the question of immediately following the Crimea scenario so that we could become part of the Russian Federation, but things turned out a little differently. But this question has never been withdrawn,” Plotnitsky said yesterday in response to a question on whether the Donbass republics will hold a referendum on reunification with Russia as happened in Crimea.
In Plotnitsky’s words: “If such a referendum will be held, and it of course will be, then the results will be just like in Crimea.”
Plotnitsky also stated that the leadership of the DPR and LPR considers Kiev’s decision to blockade Donbass a de facto recognition of the republics’ independence. “You only declare a blockade against those whom you recognize,” Plotnitsky remarked.
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that Moscow has no written scripts on the possibility of incorporating the DPR and LPR into Russia.

Kiev cuts off water to Lugansk

From Fort Russ

March 11, 2017 – Fort Russ News –
By J. Arnoldski
Kiev has cut off water supplies to the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Ministry of Communications of the LPR has reported.
Water supplies from the Western Filtration and Pumping Station were cut off at 3:00 A.M. Although Kiev has said such is the result of an industrial accident, the LPR says that no official documents confirming such have been provided.
The water station in question is on Ukrainian territory and supplies water to Pervomaysk, Stakhanov, Kirovsk, Bryanka, Alchevsk, Perevalsk, Krasny Luch, and Antratsit.
LPR authorities have warned that changes in water delivery schedules will be implemented in connection with this incident.
This is not the first time that Ukraine has used water as a weapon against the Donbass republics. Earlier this week, on March 6th, Ukraine cut off supplies from the Petrovsky Pumping Station which supplies water to Slavyanoserbsk and Lugansk.
According to the LPR’s Lugansk Water Corporation, the republic has reduced its dependency on water supplies from Ukraine to 15%, with approximately 84% of water demand covered by the republic itself. This does not mean, however, that civilians do not suffer when Kiev decides to cut off water and other necessities. Rather, this fits into the larger framework of Ukraine’s war of attrition or psychological warfare against the Donbass republics.

Ukrainian terrorist network unmasked: Lugansk reveals investigation results in Anashchenko & Givi murders

March 10, 2017 – Fort Russ News –
By J. Arnoldski –
Today, March 10th, two significant announcement have come out of Lugansk pertaining to Ukrainian terrorist operations in general and the assassinations of commanders Anashchenko and Givi in particular.
Igor Kornet, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Lugansk People’s Republic, officially stated that the persons (no number is given) involved in the assassination of People’s Militia commander Oleg Anashchenko on February 4th have been arrested on the territory of the LPR. Kornet also confirmed that the suspects were servicemen of the Ukrainian army.
“All of them are servicemen of the special forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who were deployed to Lugansk as part of saboteur-terrorist groups to commit terrorist acts on the orders of the Security Service of Ukraine. They are now being interrogated,” Kornet announced.
The minister added that two weapons and ammunition caches, plus an explosive device, were uncovered by police during the investigation. Kornet stressed the significance of this discovery: “This stock and the type of weapons and equipment therein prove that the terrorist act committed by those now arrested is far from the only act of intimidation planned by Ukrainian special forces on the territory of the free republics.”
Kornet’s statement on the Anashchenko case was immediately followed by a press statement of the LPR’s Minister of State Security, Leonid Pasechnik. According to Pasechnik, the ministry has discovered a special department within the Security Service of Ukraine, headed by Colonel Anatoly Sandursky, codenamed “Hutor”, which directly engages in organizing sabotage and terrorist activities in the people’s republics and the Russian Federation.
According to Pasechnik, Givi’s assassins were servicemen of the 8th special forces regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under the command of Colonel Oleg Nechaev and the 8th regiment’s intelligence chief, Major Pavel Balov, codenamed “Kedr,” who is stationed in the city of Khmelnitsky in Ukraine. This specific unit is part of the larger terrorist operations division under investigation by Lugansk’s security forces.
“These people bear direct responsibility for this crime [the assassination of Givi] and other crimes committed in the LPR, DPR, and Russian Federation, for example in Crimea,” the LPR’s security minister emphasized.

Pasechnik added that at the present moment a detachment of the above-mentioned regiment numbering 120-150 troops is located in Starobelsk not far from Lugansk. The unit has been estimated to be divided into four saboteur-reconnaissance groups numbering 12 to 17 men each.

LPR & DPR announced their conditions for political settlement in Donbass

LPR & DPR Announced Their Conditions for Political Settlement in Donbass | Русская весна

The Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics demand to create real system of self-governance in Donbass within the framework of the Minsk negotiation process.

This was stated today by the acting Foreign Minister of the DPR, the representative of Donetsk at the political subgroup negotiations in Minsk Natalia Nikonorova.

“One of the most important points is a coexistence with the central power (Kiev) on a contractual basis, i.e. this the authority to conclude contracts, and on this basis development in any direction: social, cultural, scientific,” she said in an interview to the Russian agency TASS.

“This is what we agreed on, having signed the Minsk Agreements. This is real self-governance, which responds the European charter of local self-governance”.

Elections in Donbass in this case are an integral part of the settlement of the conflict.

“We will choose our bodies of authority. Elections will take place according to a majority system. Any party like “Svoboda”, any “Right Sector”, Radical party can’t be on our territory.

When all of the territory of our region is covered in graves, these people will come to us to campaign? It won’t happen,” stated the representative of LPR at negotiations of the political subgroup Rodion Miroshnik.

According to him, also the work of the Ukrainian media will not be allowed in Donbass. Only the inhabitants living in the region can participate in elections, and the Central Electoral Commission of Ukraine won’t be able to control the electoral process.

“The figure of displaced persons from Donbass fluctuates from 200,000 when Ukraine speaks about pension payments, up to 2 million when Kiev speaks about elections. Sorry, but with such a manipulative system give me such a resource in 2 million, I win any elections,” noted Miroshnik.

He specifically stressed that the LPR and the DPR demand the creation of a whole list of the constraining mechanisms in the relations between Donbass and Kiev.

“This is the presence of law enforcement agencies, this is also cross-border cooperation, because we want to live quietly with ours brothers from the Russian Federation. This is a linguistic question. It is unacceptable for us to forbid the Russian language. And as well differentiation of financial flows,” listed Miroshnik.
